Eid is a beautiful time to help young children share joy, kindness, and creativity. One simple way to do this with preschoolers is by decorating Eid cards. These personalised cards can be gifted to loved ones.
Decorating Eid cards is more than just a craft. It helps preschool children:

- practise fine motor skills through colouring and decorating
- recognise simple words related to Eid
- express kindness by making something for others
- feel involved in Eid celebrations in an age-appropriate way
Best of all, it doesn’t need to be complicated.
Simple Eid Card Decorating Activity
For this activity, children decorate three simple Eid cards using a free printable included at the end of this post.
Each card includes:
- Simple colour-in Eid words in english and arabic
- Stars and celebration designs, perfect for little hands to decorate
These designs are intentionally simple so preschoolers can feel confident and proud of their work.

How to Use the Eid Card Printable
- Print the cards on regular paper or light card.
- Let children colour freely using crayons, pencils, or markers.
- Optional: add stickers, glitter, or gold pens for extra sparkle.
- Fold and share the cards with family, friends, neighbours, or the community.
There’s no right or wrong way—just let children enjoy the process.
Learning Ideas to Extend the Activity
- Talk about who the card is for and why we share kindness on Eid.
- Count the stars or name the colours being used.
- Encourage children to say “Eid Mubarak” as they decorate.
