Dhul Hijjah is one of the most special times of the year in Islam. It’s a month filled with reflection, worship, and powerful stories that teach sacrifice, gratitude, and obedience to Allah. For children, this is a beautiful opportunity to build a strong connection with their faith in a simple and engaging way.
To help you make the most of these blessed days, I’ve created a free printable to support your child’s learning and encourage daily good deeds.
What is Dhul Hijjah?
Dhul Hijjah is the 12th and final month of the Islamic calendar. It’s best known for the sacred journey of Hajj and the celebration of Eid al-Adha.
The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are especially important. These are days filled with increased reward, mercy, and opportunities to do good.
A Beautiful Hadith About the First 10 Days
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
The people asked, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?”
He said, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except for a man who went out with his life and wealth and did not return with anything.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
This hadith shows just how special these days are—and how even small good deeds can carry great reward.
